The Dirigo History Project is a nonprofit organization committed to preserving and sharing Maine’s rich and diverse history through compelling digital media. Our mission is to educate, engage, and inspire by producing high-quality documentaries, short films, and interviews that bring to life the stories of Maine’s people, places, and pivotal moments. A central focus of our work is capturing and honoring the stories of Maine veterans, from the battlefields of the Civil War to modern-day service, ensuring their voices and sacrifices are never forgotten.
